I had stopped repairing ATX several years ago because of the new A cost very cheap. Do not bother to repair because spare parts were often much more expensive than getting a new power supply. The search for spare parts supply ATX was not easy because many of them you can not even find on the Internet. Not only that, many different complex designed by Food manufacturers had eaten our valuable troubleshooting time also because we need time to understand how all these different jobs for food.
Some models of power have been using the PWM IC (UC3842) and power FET, some use two transistors, while others use only a single power circuit in the primary side. Because the manufacturers want the design to be transformed into a compact size, many secondary or primary circuit feeding were placed on a modular card (board-size reduced). This troubleshooting made even more difficult because many times the counter does not reach the probe at the point of testing.
The real reason why I had stopped repairing ATX is the margin. If you free up the customer rather buy a new unit with a warranty given year. If you charge too low, you may find yourself in the losers because of replaced parts, electricity and etc. If you charge reasonable, the margin of profit that can not even cover your time spent to solve this problem. I am here not to discourage you to stop ATX power supply repair, but if you have time, contacts will supply components at low prices, easy access numerous schematic diagrams and food, etc., you can proceed to repair it.
Welcome back to the article, one of my clients asked me to make reparation the ATX power supply. I told him to get a new one (because it was very cheap), but he said he could not find one that fits UC client. He wanted a diet that is either the same size or smaller than the original with the same specification or more, but everything could find was a standard size supply of power!
In favor to my customers, I will do my best to help repair ATX power supply. When the power was switched on, measures were taken. The results have been more tension. The 12-volt line has climbed to 13 V and + 5 volt line is 5.6 volts. After the casing was removed, I found inside was very dirty and I used a vacuum cleaner and a brush to remove dirt. Then I saw four filter electrolytic capacitors were bulging at the envelope higher.
As you know, we, electronic repairers can not see things from one side, we see the other side too. What I mean is, try to see if there are any suspect components that contributed to the failure of the power such as broken components, dry joints, loose connection, glue and decay etc., before you start checking the suspect area.
What I have seen was on the primary side, there were some elements covered with glue rotten as seen in the image. I must remove by scraping the layers of glue rotten, while preserving the outer layers of components. Once that was done, I clean with the solution diluent. Decayed glue can cause serious or intermittent electronic equipment because it can be conductive.
If you repair any power ATX, be sure to check the fan too because some power outage was due to heat caused by the defective fan. The purpose of the fan is sucking all the heat generated by components inside the power supply. For the fan to run gently, you can service using a spray oil-based Philips as shown in photo.
Once the four electrolytic capacitors were replaced rotten and glue removed, I may have to plug it into a junk motherboard with a hard drive to test the performance of the ATX power supply and measure all of its output voltages. It seems that the output voltages are back to normal. Once everything goes well, I can test it in a working processor to check the display.
The reason I first test with a junk motherboard as a way to not cause my motherboard good to go ill just in case, if the output voltage is still very high. Better safe than sorry later. By the way you can not test a diet without charge if he can run for a while and then stop. If you do not have a junk motherboard, you can always connect at least one hard disk and a jumper from the connector to turn the ATX power supply.

How do PCBs (Printed Circuit Board) at home using a laser printer and the toner transfer method
As a fan electronics enthusiastic amateur I've always been fascinated by the fact that it is indeed possible to search almost professional printed circuit board (PCB) home. My desire to produce my PAC at home rather than use the good old method of prototyping wound becomes even stronger than the years pass and the availability of packets through the hole (for modern devices) is becoming increasingly low. When thinking of a new design, it has features much more to choose whether SMT is acceptable. It is a powerful incentive to learn to make your own PCBs at the SMT home.

This is really a production process that when done makes you feel really proud of achieving it. Again, following the rules is essential for success of the process. This may seem intimidating at first, but in reality, the process is very easy to follow.

1. Prepare a mirror image of your circuit, printed on a toner transfer paper using a laser printer. 2. Cut the sand and clean a piece of copper on the glass epoxy laminate. 3. Take a deep breath, because the most interesting step is the following.
Your circuit is now ready for cooking stage. Few people recommend ironing the paper using a hot iron until it adheres to the copper. The problem I found with ironing board, then it is not predictable in terms of successful transfer of toner. A few sometimes it works and sometimes not at all. I think I gained a better technique. Before cooking can begin, you must prepare a kind of pressing device which would maintain the glossy pressed copper. I use two thick aluminum plates with holes in the corners. The bolts and nuts must be closed very hard to apply strong pressure to match the laminated paper and glossy.
The press should be inserted into a preheated 150 degrees Celsius oven for a period of about a half hour. Cooking time may vary depending on the weight of the aircraft release you are using. Although the common belief is that mouthwash kills bad breath, experts have conflicting arguments about the benefits of mouthwash, or lack thereof. It’s time to sort through the evidence and learn the truth about mouthwash once and for all.
Do You Know Your Mouthwash?
There are two schools of thought when it comes to formulating mouthwash. One style contains a high percentage of alcohol. For example, Listerine contains 26.9% alcohol, which is 5 times more than most beers and twice as much as wine.
Contrary to popular belief, the alcohol in such mouthwashes does not kill the bacteria responsible for bad breath. Rather, the alcohol is used as a carrier of essential oils, which are the active ingredients in the formula. In the case of Listerine, eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate and thymol dissolve in the alcohol so they can reach your gums and effectively target plaque.
The problem with alcohol-based mouthwashes, argue some critics, is that alcohol is known to dry out the mouth. People with dry mouth are more prone to bad breath because they do not have enough saliva available to naturally wash away the bacteria, which release mouth odors. While dry mouth seems like a valid concern, members of the American Dental Association have noted that alcohol-containing mouthwashes do not exacerbate bad breath.
Research supports this claim. One study showed that people who already suffered from dry mouth who rinsed with Listerine threes times a day did not experience any additional dryness.

Studies have demonstrated that ingredients chlorine dioxide and zinc are effective at neutralizing some mouth odors.
To fight bad breath at its source, you need to get rid of bacteria. Unfortunately, mouthwash alone will not accomplish that goal. Experts suggest that twice or even three times daily brushing and flossing is the best defense against bacteria. Using a tongue scraper to remove additional bacteria is highly effective for many people with chronic bad breath. When you brush, floss or scrape, you are physically removing the odor-causing bacteria. Mouthwash may promote healthy gums and provide a fresh clean feeling, but it does not eliminate bacteria.

If you enjoy using mouthwash in addition to regular brushing and flossing, there is no need to change your routine. If you are struggling with bad breath, you should focus your efforts on physically removing bacteria by brushing, flossing and any other solutions recommended by your dentist. Mouthwash can indeed mask and even neutralize unpleasant odors, but it will not solve the problem on its own.
