I hated my lawn mower. I would only do once a month because of the cumbersome wires electric. He seemed to be much longer than it should. This is the second time I bought this set! The first set is over 10 years old and still working, but the hedge is getting bored. I tried to change the blade, but I do not make a substitution (if they do, I could not find it.) Then I was to replace only the hedge but since the weed whacker is widely used and is likely to be replaced soon, it made more sense to buy the game again and in doing so, get 3 new batteries and a spare magazine too! I could not find the set in stores and was thrilled to find it online. That does not have to mess with an extension cord or kill myself trying to start a gas model is a great advantage!
If you have a complaint, it would be on the leaf blower works well on hard surfaces (floor of the garage and entry), but it is definitely not powerful enough to remove the grass blades.

I have not had better luck with NiCad packs in the past. NiMH general, are much more receptive to leave a charger for extended periods, do not download as fast, and it would lighter for a given capacity.

For now, these are very light weight and quiet devices simply put the job done without trouble.

The fan is a bit on the weak side, but effective enough to get the grass off the AC, patio and garage. Do not expect to be blowing twigs or sheet, including sharp falls in this however, does not have the drive.

Since 've purchased the B & D Loper garden and the farmer. He also bought an additional 2 batteries, so I'm able to turn the seven batteries.

I have a 80 x 135 lot, and usually can do all the grass cutting on 1 battery.

As many have said, the batteries do not last long and the fan is pretty weak.

On the other hand, I use the fan to blow the grass clippings on the curb and fly all the annoying outbreaks maple "helicopters" out of the driveway. It is also useful blowing the cover leaves.

The convenience of not dragging an extension cord and maintaining about a capacitor adjustment of gas more than compensate for any of the other shortcomings of this set.

I am more than satisfied with the set.

I had these tools for more than three years, and I am very satisfied with them I decided to post a comment. Everything works great – cutting edge trimmer string and everything I have asked that, as with the hedge trimmer. Blower works great clearing sidewalk / driveway, struggles with wet leaves on the grass (but really is not designed to such work).

The batteries have worked so well that I have changed all my power tools for B & D. Of course, new batteries work better / Longer than before, so I choose my work – Older batteries from the flashlight, fresh batteries for the circular saw and cutting chain.

Not so much a criticism as a question. Amazon product description indicates that this element is supplied with two batteries and charger ports. Black & Decker is a product description says it contains battery and three counts of port (which is more logical, since there are three tools that require batteries, and most comments here in the state, the battery life is not very long.)

I have one third of an acre, and I get about 1.5 uses the battery for the eater weeds. The shrub trimmer works very well. The fan is ok, but you really need to let the grass dry out before blowing out of cement.

Saw Blade Laser

On a job site, which circular saw will be more efficient? One with a laser guide, or a little more power?

I was given 2 circular saws, a skill brand 13amp saw with a laser guide and a makita 15amp saw. I have a fair amount of experience using a circular saw, but have never purchased one for myself. I can see at a glance how helpful the laser guide will be on my job site, but before i return the makita, i want to hear from someone if i’m really going regret giving up those 2 amps for the sake of a better guide system?

No pro would be caught dead using a saw with a laser guide, or for that matter a Skil (other than worm drives). The extra 2 amps makes a huge difference, especially when ripping a board. Makita saws are much more durable than Skil saws. On a jobsite, the laser will actually interfere with your ability to see your cutting line when cutting boards. Go with the Makita. Hope this helps.

Do lightning arrestors really work for Solar Systems?

I’m thinking of putting some arrestors into my PV and Wind system. Does anyone know *from experience*, meaning a lightning strike to your system, if they really work? I spoke with SMA America and they said they are not UL approved and have no evidence that they do anything. My installer said that the inverters will still get fried.

any condiuctive rod that goes higher than your roof line and is connected to the earth with a conductive cable would offer some protection to your PV system as well as other parts of your house,
